From Bees to Honey: October 3-7, 2010 at Heifer Ranch

Learn what it takes to raise bees by helping with our fall honey harvest. Remove honey boxes from the hives and extract the honey. Inspect and prepare the hives for winter. Prepare honey for selling – bottle the honey, seal the bottles in melted beeswax and label for sale. Levels of physical activity include some levels of lifting and moderate amounts of walking.

Located at Heifer Ranch in Perryville, AR. The $375 per person tuition fee includes all programming, lodging and meals. Early registration is recommended as each workshop is limited to 12 participants.
