Livestock Health Care: October 3-7, 2010 at Heifer Ranch
Weigh livestock, trim hooves, paint brand and ear-tattoo sheep, pregnancy check cattle and evaluate body condition and general animal health. Perform daily livestock chores and other duties such as moving and setting up temporary fences. Levels of physical activity include high levels of heavy lifting and high amounts of walking.
All programs are held at Heifer Ranch, located in Perryville, AR. The $375 per person tuition fee includes all programming, lodging and meals. Early registration is recommended as each workshop is limited to 12 participants.
